AER Meeting of Youth in the European Regions in Wiesbaden (Germany)
From the 23rd to the 25th of November 2008, Wiesbaden, Germany hosted the first AER Meeting of Youth in the European Regions. The conference served as a launch for a network of young people from the AER member regions, the “AER Youth Regional Networkâ€.
Around 100 young people aged 18-30 from the different European regions came together to discuss issues such as demography and migration, education and professional life, social affairs, energy and ecology, culture and regional identity. Under the motto “The future belongs to us, but what should we do with it?†participants learned from each other and shared experiences during this two-day conference organised by the Assembly of European Regions (AER), German Hertie Foundation and Region of Hesse with support of the Youth Council of Hesse.
Because of bad weather and cancelled flights only one journalist was reporting on the event in Wiesbaden for orangelog.eu.
